Fight for the Cure

A group of Ottawa businessmen were out "throwing some leather" at the Fight for the Cure charity boxing event held Saturday at the Hampton Inn.

The dinner attracted about 430 guests to watch a night of boxing in support of The Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. Among those duking it out were lobbyist Walter Robinson against George Boszormeny of Castor Heating and Cooling; Subway franchise owner Marwan Abdalla against Wayne Shimoon of Upside Wave; and Jim Donnelly of the Ottawa Business Journal against Shawn Mountain from The Mergis Group.

The evening, sponsored by The Heart & Crown Irish Pubs, was organized by Matt Whitteker, Rob Imbeault and Eric Belanger of Final Round Boxing.
